Law Enforcement
Program
Enforcement is a key element
in the success of the Tennessee Operation Lifesaver program.
TNOL promotes active law enforcement of all traffic laws relating
to railroad crossing signs and signals and private property
laws pertaining to trespassing.
If railroad tracks run through
your community, you or your officers could become involved
in a specialized highway-rail grade crossing collision investigation.
The Grade Crossing Collision Investigation (GCCI) course is
available to help officers more effectively investigate such
incidents.
This training was developed by
the North American law enforcement community with the cooperation
of the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the
National Sheriff's Association and Operation Lifesaver, Inc.
For more information on
Grade Crossing Collision Investigation courses,
contact the TNOL State Coordinator Jill Moody.
